All of Morris’ sons were under 21 when he wrote his Will in October 1695, and there is no indication that any were married yet. I one had married after the will was written the earliest they could have had a child would be 1713, (MILLICENT) they would have to of married by early 1713, which means she could have 16 years old at the most when married. If this MORRIS was a grandson of MORRIS & DOROTHY (Conclusion, these records pertain to the son MORRIS & DOROTHY, not a grandson). (RVS)

The said Complaints by William Ellzey their attorney Exhibited into Court a Bill of Complaints against Job Carter the defendant thereby setting fourth that they were Executors for the said John TILLETT, deceased, that Something in the year of our Lord one thousand sixty three the said John TILLETT possessed of an Estate goods and Chattels amounting to forty six pounds, seven shillings and three pence of current money, (Also sixteen hundred and fourteen pounds of tobacco). He made his Last Will and Testament in writing, leaving his Widow then Pregnant and two sons GEORGE & JOHN TILLETT, and by the young horse and saddle as goods unto his son John TILLETT and the child with which the MILLICENT was pregnant one young mare all the rest of the moveable Estate to be equally divided between his wife and two children. The said Complaints further show that the said child of which MILLICENT was pregnant died soon after it’s birth, so that, the Estate was divided into three equal parts only, and left in the possession of the said MILLICENT and the two children GEORGE & JOHN and sometime after the said MILLICENT was so possessed the Estate. She intermarried with the Defendant who thereby possessed of the said Estate and had constant use benefit and advantage of the same, and in the year of one thousand sixty nine the said MILLICENT departed this life at which time the said John & George TILLETT have not resided with the said Job CARTER, but are now of full age to demand their respective parts of the said Estate of the said Carnaby VEALE and the said John TURLEY who are liable to them for the same whereupon the said Complaints apply themselves to the Defendants to apply themselves to the said Defendant in a friendly manner up and pay the said Complaints humbly prayed he assistance of this Worshipful Court and that the process of subpoena might be awarded against the Defendant to compel him to appear and answer the Bill. The Court doth think fit that the said Plaintiff’s recover from the Defendant.
NOTE: Although this is just a Court Action, it has played a very important part of this families historical factors that does apply to this evidence (RLV)
To put this into a context, we have proof that Morris VEALE & Sarah had a daughter MILLICENT born before 1713. We also have proof that MORIS was living in 1737 and 1740. There is NO evidence to indicate there was more than one MORRIS in Prince William County, Virginia. (FVS)
We also have evidence that Morris VEALE who wrote his Will in 1750 at Prince William County, Virginia had a daughter MILLICENT that had two children as of 1733, and pregnant with a third. Assuming one child could have been born circa 1732, if she MILLICENT was 16 at the birth of the first child she was born no later than 1714. (RVS)

Witnessed by me this 3rd day of March 1714 (1713)
Sealed and Delivered in the presence of:
Corn EDMONDS, Sarah ERWIN, and David DICKIE
Note: I have placed the events of Sarah ERWIN into this record; as in the records of Anthony CARNABY and Sarah VEALE, it indicated that MILLICENT was their daughter. Plus there are no indications that Sarah ERWIN and Anthony CARNABY to be her parents. (RLV)
Note #2: The Richmond County, Virginia and Prince William Counties of Virginia has various good records, even to the point that it is claimed that she, Sarah VEALE married Anthony CARNABY after the demise of Morris VEALE II. After the total review of 10 pages of solid evidence, I’m fully convinced that the Sarah who married Anthony CARNABY was Sarah ERWIN, widow of George ERWIN. However, there is no doubt that the Veale’s and Carnaby’s were very good and close neighbors in the Northern Neck of Virginia Settlement. So much so that, Morris VEALE II and Sarah named a child CARNABY. It is for certain that Sarah Unknown, Widow of George ERWIN did not list herself as a parent of Millicent VEALE in her Gift of Love to this child, but named the parents of Millicent as Morris VEALE II & Sarah VEALE. Due to my age factor, I will NOT destroy the Carnaby records, but pass them on to our family web master, Richard A. Veale for future use if need be. (RLV)

NOTE #1: MOST OF THIS INFORMATION COMES FROM THE PRIMARY STUDY OF NANCY ANDERSON AND HER BIG BOOK. SHE LIVES IN NEW MEXICO AND HER WORK IS ON HER WEB SITE. I WILL ONLY USE PARTS TO SHOW THE CARTER-VEALE CONNECTIONS (RLV)
NOTE #2: I currently have a four page work up on William Carter I in the UK & USA. Also I have a 26 page layout on William Carter I that combines Mrs. Dollye M. 2nd member of Morris Veale II & Sarah Family
3. SARAH VEALE (MORRIS II 2, MORRIS I 1), she m. THOMAS PENSON before 1750 in Prince William County, Virginia
Notes for THOMAS PENSON:
Source: Paul TURLEY’S GENEALOGIES, supplied by Nancy ANDERSON (CAUTION: This may be copyrighted).
In November 1731, Paul TURLEY has witnessed a lease from James WAUGH to Thomas PENSON of Hamilton Parish, Prince William County, Virginia the lease was for 300 acres on Jonnymore Run and up Jonnymore to the beginning. The lease also named Rebecca PENSON. Rachal PENSON, and Isaac PENSON. This lease could be renewed and Thomas PENSON could make two tentaments. This he did in 1738, he made Bond VEALE and Nimrod HOLT one was where the grist mill is situated on Popes-head Run commonly known as PENSON’S MILL. Both leases were for the lives of Rebecca, Rachal and Isaac PENSON. James TURLEY witnessed the HOLT lease.
Thomas PENSON owned land on Neabsco Creek in Prince William County, Virginia, which he had purchased from Morris VEALE II, the father of William VEALE I who had married Lydia TURLEY the daughter of Paul TURLEY. PENSON sold the land to Richard BLACKBURN in 1735. A Thomas A. PENSON voted in the 1744 election of Burgess for Fairfax County, Virginia. A Joseph PENSON, the younger of Fairfax County, Virginia sold the Northern Neck grant that he had received in 1740. The PENSON family does NOT appear in the Green’s List of tithables for Fairfax County, Virginia in 1749. Assuming that the original lease was made in 1731 when Rachal PENSON was a small child, she would have been several years younger that Paul TURLEY’S son Ignatious and was NOT named in his father’s lease, it is assumed that he was born after 1730.
NOTE: The Joseph PENSON listed above must be Thomas’ brother.

NOTE: The fact of Peter CARTER being the son of Job CARTER would indicate the he Job CARTER and Morris VEALE II were of near the same age, on other CARTER’S are listed in this area of Virginia
Notes for SUSAN AMELIA “MILLEY” VEALE:
The 1750 Will of Morris VEALE II does NOT list the name of AMELIA directly. Her husband Peter CARTER was named Executor of this Will along with Carnaby VEALE, her brother.

THE TURLEY FAMILY NOTES AS FROM PAUL TURLEY GENEALOGIES
Source: Hand Drawn by Mrs. Beth Mitchell
The Turley’s were like so many other early settlers here in the USA. They married into the neighboring families and raised large numbers of children and when moving they often moved into the same general locations or areas. The Turley’s have married into the early TILLITT’S, CARTER’S and the VEALE families as this report will show.
CAUTION: Fragments of the “Paul Turley Genealogies” were hand drawn by Beth Mitchell (Mrs. Myles B. Mitchell, 11500 Henegan Place, Spotslvania, Virginia 22553-1445; phone: 450-972-3432) taken from the privately published document by the name of: “Turley Historical Research Association” in 1981, at 7326 Rebecca Drive, Alexander, Virginia 22307”. This document may be copyrighted.
My sole purposes in listing these materials I found it highly necessary to utilize every known source to be able to unscramble the ever so many confusing factors of what is known in each separate but connected family groups. This document definitely does just that and holds the keys to unscramble many of the unknown parts of this large puzzle. And make this far more understandable for all to understand, Just to make a statement without any listed proof does NOT give a proof situation. (RLV)
