The Clay County, Arkansas Marriages-Western District, Corning lists: VEAL, LUTHER 42 & GIBSON “MRS BETTY” 25 on July 06, 1900) E Book, page 130) Index and Ties from Clay County Courier newspaper, 1911. This would mean that Bettie was born in 1875 and I assume since she is listed as Mrs. Bettie Gibson that she must have been married before. PEOPLES or PEEPLES may have been her maiden name. I just haven’t found any more information on her. It does prove Martins age b. in September 1858. (EDNA)
Edna states that Martin may be buried in Boomer Cemetery, Paris, Monroe County, Missouri, it shows nothing but born in September and died unknown. Here is where a challenge is present.

SPECIAL NOTES:

I would like to acknowledge some of the persons who have made this adventure well worth while.

1). Ralph Carr Veale who found the Library of Congress Report who made this writing a thing that separated the many like Veale names of early Virginia era.

2). Mrs. Virginia Crilley who provided the Wills and Letters of Administrations of those Veale’s of North Carolina.

3). Mrs. Carl Veal, who shared her collection with us to enable a lot of the missing puzzle pieces to fall into place

4). Mrs. Edna Johnson, who also shared her collection to this great adventure into the Kentucky, Missouri, Illinois, and Indiana Veale/Veal’s, with a few Texas and Arkansas Veal members.

WITHOUT THE HARD RESEARCHING WORK OF EACH OF YOU ALL THIS WOULD HAVE BEEN NEXT TO IMPOSSIBLE. IT HAS BEEN MY PLEASURE TO HAVE ALL YOUR COLLECTIONS TO WORK WITH AND TO COMBINE ALL YOUR MANY FINDS INTO ONE VOLUME OF VEAL HERITAGE.
